Budget 2012: Let Your Voice Be Heard!

Engage Evanston, a community outreach program, has created a budget survey in the hopes of getting feedback about how the City of Evanston should be shaping its budget priorities.

You can participate in the survey by going to ideas.cityofevanston.org. There you can also find information about the budget as well as opportunities to comment about specific items. Please take the time to share your opinion with the city. The survey will be open until September 22.

 

Meet Josh: 9th Ward Intern / Constituent Liason

Josh
Josh Brechner
Josh Brechner is a Northwestern senior studying political science and integrated
marketing communications. He has previously worked at small marketing firms, including MedFit Partners at Chicago and Main.
Josh grew up in New York with his parents and two sisters. At Northwestern, he is a Director of the drum, dance, and rhythm ensemble Boomshaka, as well as the Navigation Director for Project Wildcat, a backpacking pre-orientation program for incoming freshman.

Josh looks forward to meeting the 9th Ward residents and working with them to help improve communications between residents and city government.

CTA Yellow Line Study Public Hearing Set for Sept. 15

The City of Evanston is conducting an engineering feasibility study to identify a preferred alternative for an infill station along the CTA Yellow Line (Skokie Swift) service in south Evanston at Dodge, Asbury or Ridge Avenues.

A public meeting will be held on Thursday, September 15 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. in the Auditorium of Saint Francis Hospital, 355 Ridge Avenue, Evanston, IL 60202. The meeting will be accessible to persons with disabilities.

The purpose of the public meeting is to give feedback on the preliminary station plans and eventually select a preferred location. Please attend the public meeting to provide your input and then take survey #2 starting September 16th by visiting the project website at www.evanstonyellowlinestation.org
