Ensuring that our Ward and our neighborhoods contain safe, secure, and attractive buildings, homes, and structures, erasing graffiti, and prohibiting over-crowding of homes and apartments is a full-time job! The Property Standards division of the City’s Community Development Department is responsible for enforcing the various components of the City Code related to property maintenance, and for good reason. Dilapidated residential units, unkempt properties, and fly dumping are just some of the conditions that lower our property values, invite vandalism and crime, and aren’t indicative of the pride and enthusiasm we have for our neighborhoods and our City.

This portion of the City’s web site features a phone number and e-mail address you can use to alert the Property Standards division about graffiti, blighted structures, high weeds and grass, over-occupied residential units, and other potential health and safety hazards on your block and in the Ward.
